London based singer-songwriter Freya Alley has released the edgy, quirky, arty and up-beat electro-pop single “PARTY ON MY OWN” along with an accompanying pop-art video. Billed as a song for people who celebrate St. Valentine’s Day on their own, or for those whose love affair just went wrong, we’re all given the option of feeling up-beat regardless and love ourselves more.
We promise - it’s definitely something different from usual Valentine’s Day songs.
We are looking for publications to share and review the single and video which would be hugely appreciated by the artist and her team.
Freya Alley is a Lithuanian recording artist and song writer now based in London. Alley was born in Vilnius and moved to the UK in 2011, looking for new life experiences. Having appreciated and experimented with music at a young age, Alley started taking her music career seriously aged 17, both writing and performing songs. After arriving in London she needed new places to record her music as well as new collaborators who would help her to define her sound. Freya Alley has been working closely with songwriter Laurence Hobbs who has multiple chart successes with artists such as Sam Smith and Pixie Lott.
Describing her sound as atmospheric, cinematic and poetic Freya Alley takes a lot of inspiration from nature, which also shapes her distinctive, fantasy-like image. Creatively she looks up to many of the abstract female pop acts including Lorde, BANKS, and Lana Del Rey.
"I write my music about inner fights, mistakes, love, unfulfilled dreams, feelings, freedom, addictions and being trapped with someone or within something. I’ve always felt differently when listening to or playing music. I started to hear melodies, sounds and create lyrics in my mind when I was young. Slowly I started to see it as the way of life and put all my energy and spirit into it".
